I've never played online poker, always home games and in casinos, but have a question of what a certain phrase means. Heard many people on this forum refer to SnG (Sit-and-Go) games, and I'm not totally sure what that means. Is it simply a one table game in tournament format?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I've searched and never came up with a definitive answer.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head. Most don't usually last more than 30 or 45 minutes, depending on how stupid people play.

Single table, 10 player Sit 'n' Go =
as soon as ten players sign up (sit), the game begins (go).

Number of players and format can vary -- i.e. 3-table, 6-seats per table = as soon 18 players sign up, the game begins.
