One day I'll understand the point.
I told myself I'd never play in one. But tonight I figured what the hell. $1000 guaranteed with $2 rebuys. Just as idiotic as I thought. For the first hour, everyone went in pretty much on every hand since they couuld just rebuy. I managed to get a nice stack going, but even after the rebuy period no one really cares so you're just waiting for the hand where you get crushed. Anyone care to enlighten me? Just seems like an utter waste of time even for something that's free.
I must really blow then!
I just meant it seems like all you do in these things is sit around and wait for the inevitable suckout. People are going all in preflop almost every hand, and I was just sitting back and calling them with my good hands... until someone went all in with 68 and I called with KK and lost. That was the end of the tournament.
Well thanks to a member on here i signed up with *********.com and played in three of there $1500.00 free roles. (pm me for details)
There were around 200 players each time and i cashed in 2 of the 3. The play was simular to the $5 sit n gos untill we got to about 100 players. The top 46 cashed so play was tight untill we hit money. Once we got into the cash the play got real loose again and you could just fold around as people were just tring to make a move to get into the final table. The cash outs went from 25 for 46th place to 50 for first ( i may be alittle off on those).
Hey, it's free, what do people expect. If it was easy, everyone would be in them, OOPS, everyone IS IN THEM.
So far, I have been lucky to win one and place a few times for a total return of a couple of hundred bux. The ROI is not bad, just the time invested in playing them.
