Chips: 7,134 | | | They did this to me when I first signed up on Party.
I never called them back.
I deposit and cash out of poker ever month with no problem. |

Chips: 1,555 | | I actually did leave a little bit in the account - mainly the extra $25 that you earn when you complete the 500 raked hands. I tried to cash that out but it would not let me. That is when I got the inquiries.
It's also a policy that you need to have at least $50 to cash out via Neteller - so anything less than that you are stuck (unless there is another method I haven't tried yet).
I'll look over the "info" that they are requesting I send in but at this point I feel that they would continue to question why 20 other people are using my same IP address. If they still refuse to unlock my account then just as well - there are other sites that want my business.
Bottom line - if you want to "*****" the sites for bonus money - just be prepared to go through red tape as a result.
Guess I'll go pull my referal links to Party Poker off my blog site while I'm at it. They'd just freeze those referal bonuses too (not that I've made $1 off that yet). |

Chips: 2,570 | | That's the first I'd ever heard about Party doing that. I always thought they were one of the quicker, no-hassle rooms for withdrawals but then I haven't played there since about February.
Did you post about that in PSO? I've read there quite often that Golden Palace Poker is notorious for doing that and then some folks say they have no problem at all.
I've played at Party, Pacific, Ultimate Bet, Bodog, Poker Stars, Gaming Room, Aztec, Absolute, Royal Vegas, Poker Rewards, Poker Now, Poker Room, Full Tilt, Pardise and Noble and never had a problem cashing out at any of them.
Weird. Makes me think it must be some random thing that they pick an account every so often to check out. I would think they'd understand the concept of dynamic IP's though. |

I have COMCAST too... This floating IP stuff is bull. Consider this: if I have a laptop with PP on it. I can fly to any hotel in america and log in and play pp.... with GASP a new IP address. Give me a break, PP cant dispute this.... multiple IP addresses.
Should I tell tech support i run three subnets within my humble abode?
Comcast - where i live - is tied to a MAC address (usually by one router that provides NAT) to the system - thats how they assign IPs..
This sounds like crud, unless you're some poker super star that can play +10 hands @ +10 sites in parallel.
I would have done what yeltzen did. do nothing. screw em. chances are by contacting them/anyone else who "emails" this crap - is putting you at more risk for ID theft.
lock it up for 48 hours vs. the hell of sending them more personal information (so they can sell it). its a great idea to send all my personal information to over the f'in mail system. Sounds ripe for phising and identity theft.
No thanks. i dont even think i gave a phone number to sign up with pp.
there might be more to this than we pleabs are thinking.

there might be more to this than we pleabs are thinking. | I don't think this is the issue. Anyone with a dynamic IP address (I would think the majority), are typically assigned a different IP address every time they connect to the Internet (from the 'pool' of IPs assigned by the ISP).
My take is that they don't understand that the IP that a person is assigned today can be assigned to someone else tomorrow. I guess they think that since 2 or more people connected to Party with the same IP, they must be from the same household - rather than the fact that they just happen to use the same ISP?
It's hard to believe they don't understand this, but who knows? |

Chips: 1,818 | | | ahh - i see what you're saying about the pool of IP addresses.
Well, for grins and giggles, i drained my pp account down to $25 - I am seeing if they try and contact me.

| I still don't have any reason to play at Party. I may never send in the info - unless someone else sponsors another big promo there. Personally, I don't want to have to send in any more personal info than I feel comfortable with. What next? My SSN and proof of insurance? LOL. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
