That's supposed to be worth 4 crowns per raked hand. I cleared my first $10 of my deposit bonus.
I'm not a big "bonus *****", generally. I make a lot more playing than I ever did clearing bonuses. I have nothing against free money, however, so getting an extra $10 every 150 hands or so helps reduce the rake and that can only be a good thing. What's funny is that promotions like that tend to bring in lots of terrible players - the one's who's only profit online can be traced directly back to the bonus money they make. Without it they have no hope of beating the rake. That's just sad, but I digress.....
As for cards not matching up, I have to say that Noble Poker must have had me on "win mode" last night. I got aces twice, kings once, big slick once, and mrs. slick twice. All of those hands held up for me - even the kings when the flop came down Ace blank Ace. I was gobsmacked. I was so afraid to put it a bet on that hand it was unreal.
One poor slob at my table had about $500 when I sat down and he bullied me out of several pots. I think I actually laid down trips to him once (board was definitely scary). My revenge came in the form of a rivered nut flush. I bet $35 into a $70 pot and Mr. Slob raised me. I went all in and he doubled me up holding only two pair. Gobsmacked again, I was!
I actually had been up another hundred or so but I lost two big pots - one where my flush lost to a boat, and the other when my boat lost to a higher boat.

I would never play in a poker room that required me to wear a beret. |

Yeah, last night was my first night playing and I hadn't switched off the default avatar yet. I'm without a beret, now, btw. I picked the old bald guy with the Hawaiian shirt instead.
Beret = bad
Hawaiian Shirt = good

And regarding your starting hands, I had a similar effect my first session. I got AA twice, KK, QQ twice, AK 4 times, all within a couple hours. Then I went to Vegas and got sucked out on time after time after time. Live poker is rigged. |

How did you guys make out with the Noble Poker bonuses?
I finished last week and I am proud to say I will never go back! I found there were too many tight players at $1/$2, and just not enough people playing. |

Chips: 69 | | Got my $75 bankroll for PP yesterday and am proud to say I lost it all in one day(heavy sarcasm, by the way ). I have never had such bad cards, when I got good cards the flop never worked and I got raised out. Worst day of cards ever on-line. Won't be getting that $25 bonus with only about 100 raked hands. By the way just being in a hand does not appear to count towards your raked hands, when I first started the day I played over a dozen hands and checked, they only counted the ones I bet in, not jus the ones I was dealt.
The quickest I've lost online-ever. I'm not thrilled with just the .50/1.00 rooms, I like the ability to drop down to .25/.50 at poker stars, especially when you're card dead. It's tough to get a high flush beat by a higher flush and you lose over a quarter of your bankroll. People were fishy enough, I just never caught a single break. My last $12 I caught pocket 9's, only one other called my preflop raise, flop is two diamonds 8,4,2. I raise and reraise ...don't catch turn or river two more diamonds come out and I'm down to .80 I go all -in (i have no diamonds, but I'm all but dead anyway) he doesn't have diamonds either, but his pocket 4's caught on the flop. Done deal. What else can I do with PSO that's worthwhile?

If that weren't the case, a table of people could collude to check down hands all day to clear a bonus for the whole group. There would be no rake generated (doesn't kick in until there is some betting action) so the site would be getting a bad deal. So you're on the right track but any of your tablemates could make the hand count by betting as well.
