x-files: In case you're wondering... there was an error in your points total before (you had 15 extra points.)

QToC:
With one week to go, we've got three people tied for 9th at 110 points each. seitz has the edge here, since he's played in less than 8 tournies, he can add 5 pts just for registering for the next tourney.

So it looks like it'll take at least 115 points to qualify for the QToC.

With one week to go, we've got three people tied for 9th at 110 points each. seitz has the edge here, since he's played in less than 8 tournies, he can add 5 pts just for registering for the next tourney.

So it looks like it'll take at least 115 points to qualify for the QToC.
Wait a sec, as I understand it, you need 8 tourneys to qualify for the QToC according to the other thread. Seitz will only have 7 even with next weeks, so it looks like he couldn't qualify?

With one week to go, there are still plenty of points left to grab for the QToC qualification. Even as deep in the rankings as Merlin... a win next week for Merlin would put him at 115 points (with two 1st place finishes towards the tiebraker).

I'm not feeling very comfortable with my 145 points. I was hoping to add some points to my total last night, but I played like... well,... me -- so I got what I deserved.

I don't mind being cast aside and overlooked. It's better that way....

A good finish next week can replace one of my early exits and give me a chance. Maybe I offer a bounty on a few peoples heads...

So do you need 8 tourneys to qualify or not?? From the other thread...

it will be a single table event. the password will be sent out via PM by chipper or myself.

there will be no chip advantages for higher point totals.

The stakes will be the standard 10+1 unless all participants agree to up them. The winner of this event will win entry to the end of year Chiptalk Championship event (50k buy in). Any other prizes will be determined by the generosity of sponsors that would like to be involved.

qualifiers to the end of year Championship will be the winners of the quarterly toc's, plus the high point totals for the year (best 8 finishes each quarter). this will be a 2 table event.

The way I was interpreting this is that you can count 8 tournies *max* for the qualifying. So if you've participated in less than 8, you just get zero points for the remaining ones.
