I was hammering away --- pre-flop, flop, turn, river... and Smoore was calling all the way. That guy refused to fold his quad queens. Schmuck. That guy just has no respect for the hammer.

After having hammered all my chips into Smoore's stack, I joined the cash game. The hammer made a comeback. There was one of those PITA all-in preflop guys. He'd nearly busted out, but then managed to double-up a few times. I was waiting patiently for the right hand to tangle with him, when this hand came up....

I redeemed myself in the cash game after the tourney. Lego doubled up his buyin before he left and then it was just Ten, Space, and me. I busted Ten (sorry man) who had a set of aces (AA in the pocket) with a str8. After that I was on a roll and managed to double up also.

My wife then brought my baby daughter down because she was trying to sleep and the baby wouldn't stop fussing. So with her in one arm I log onto Empire and head over to the $1/$2 NLHE tables ($200 max). I tripled my buyin (yes I bought in for the max) in about 2 hours then headed off to sleep with a great big smile.

Space, you are the champ. 3 wins is sick. If we thought you played aggro before, we haven't seen anything yet I bet!

SMonkey came back from my heads-up lead of $25,000+ to his about $2,000. Very nice win.

The final 5 players was great back-and-forth play. Too bad the blinds keep going up and ramp up the luck-factor.

Omar also played a great game -- he needs to stay on my right next time. I offered chips to switch seats, but he wouldn't bite....

I am ashamed to admit that I folded The Hammer twice in this tourney, out of position after opening raises -- turned out to be raises by QQ and JJ. Bah! The Hammer mocks pocket queens and jacks!!
