Chips: 13,575 | | Ha Ha! I love the password for this week's tourney! Maybe we should get a bonus for playing that "correctly" this week.

Chips: 2,131 | | Since, for some unknown reason, I believe I have become distantly associated with the hand which is currently known as "The Hammer" (72o) ( origins), I will now propose some guidelines for "correctly" playing The Hammer in our tournaments: - You must raise pre-flop with The Hammer. Min. raise is acceptable; pot-sized preferred. All-in pre-flop (and win), and you may claim the title "Thor."
- Post-flop play is up to you. Just try to win, somehow.
- When you win, you must show your cards and declare "Hammer!" (or something to that effect) in the chatbox.
I have several examples of such correct play in my hand history files, please PM if interested. |

Chips: 1,555 | | | Like that idea RDeckard!! This would give some added fun to the tournaments and encourage "looser" play. (Last week was a tight tourney).
Perhaps Ten could offer up some incentive for getting a "Thor" - like a few ChipTalk.net chip points.
I might like to add a rule to yours -
4. An official Hammer must also have seen the flop. A big pre-flop bet that gets no callers wouldn't qualify. |

Chips: 37,262 | | I get a lot of questions about how to get money deposited to play on PokerStars. That, plus a lot of people asking for $11 to play that weeks. Doesn't sound like much, but all the $11's I lend makes me have to deposit more money too.
Here are some tips for getting money deposited. First of all, you can pretty much forget about using your credit card or debit card. Most banks will deny a charge to a gambling outfit.
I suggest NETeller since I have used them many times with perfect success. You fund your NETeller with money from your card or bank, then fund your PokerStars account with NETeller.
Here are notes directly from a recent email from PokerStars: Quote:
We would like to suggest NETeller or FirePay as instant funding alternatives.
NETeller and FirePay are money transfer services that make depositing and withdrawing from your PokerStars account fast and easy.
Simply visit www.pokerstars.com/neteller.html or www.pokerstars.com/firepay.html for more information on setting up an account. Once your account is set up, you can instantly make a deposit at PokerStars.
We also offer several other preferred funding methods, from Western Union to cashier's checks and money orders. Learn all about depositing at PokerStars by visiting our banking information page www.pokerstars.com/realmoney.html.

Chips: 13,575 | | | I use FirePay for all my transactions. It has been 100% reliable.

Chips: 1,555 | | | I'm out this week - my son has a final in his local baseball tournament. If he wins then his team is the league champs and they go on to state!!! The game will last through the opening of the tournament so unless it rains I won't be able to play this week. GL to all in the tourney!! |

Chips: 13,756 | | | Based on the evolution of our play, I have been operating under the assumption that playing The Hammer is mandatory in the ChipTalk tournament and cash game, and that you must show if given the chance.
Its also great for your table image. Last tournament, I raised PF with KK after showing The Hammer on a previous hand, and at least two players seemed convinced that I had The Hammer again. Advertising does pay off... |
