Official Chiptalk Tournament #2

* Tournament to be held at PokerStars.com!
Click the link to set up an account if you don't have one!

OK let's get this next tournament started!

The 2nd Chiptalk.net poker tournament has been set up!

The tournament will run the same as before. The tournament will be hosted on Poker Stars on Thursday, May 12th at 9:30pm Eastern (6:30pm Pacific).

If you don't have a Poker Stars account yet, please visit www.pokerstars.com for information on how you can create an account.

The entry fee will be $10+1. The top 3 finishers will be in the money (27 or less players) and 2 payout spots added for 28-45, another 4 for 46+ players.

**Additional Prizes! HoldemPokerChips.com is sponsoring the following additional prizes:

1. $50 HPC gift certificate for the winner!
2. $20 to anyone that knocks MSPatton out of the game!

The tournament will once again be a No-Limit Texas Hold'em format with 15 minute blinds. Each player will start out with 1500 chips.

To get the password, we've updated the tournament password web page. The password is different than last week so don't try using the old one. The password can be found at:

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/template.php?page=7

That web page will be visible to all registered Chiptalk.net viewers.

Hope to see even more players this week! Looking forward to making this a regular weekly event.

Great additional prizes added - so register for the tourney early so you don't get shut out!

Certainly other tourneys can be set up on different days. I would, however, like to see one set night of the week for weekly tournaments. Perhaps a different format (and stakes) could be done for a Friday or Saturday.

I'm thinking alot of people go out on Friday& Saturday nights. What about A second tourney on Saturday or Sunday, late afternoon like 2, 3 , or 4 o'clock central.

Sounds great, thanks chipper. I like the idea of a weekly tournament rather than monthly. If weekly is too often for everyone, I'd suggest every other week.

Even if you can't make every tournament, play as often as you care to. Granted, not every one will be able to play every week.

Only time it would matter is if there were an on-going leaderboard. We should have a stipulation that your bottom 2-3 weeks could be thrown out and the rest of the weeks averaged. This would allow you to miss a few weeks without worrying about leaderboard status.

I'll be there, thanks Chipper. Hopefully the Canucks can finish better than 12th/13th...
