UK CT Meetup
Guys,
Anybody joined in the last year may not recognise my name, but I have taken a bit of time away from the game (for various reasons, nothing bad), but having stared at the chips....dusty chips, that have been sitting still on my shelves for the best part of 9 months, I have decided to throw myself back into the world of Poker.
Since I've been a member there have been no CT meetups (as far as I am aware) and I have only managed to meet a single UK CTer through my home games (Papabear).
So let me know if you are interested, and state your location also, so we can try to figure out a suitable place to host the meet.
Steve

Re: UK CT Meetup
If you lived closer to Birmingham, I'd come see you for a game the end of July. I travel to Birmingham every year for work. Always the last two weeks of July. Will be there 7/16 - 7/30 this year.

Are you having any meetings at Royal St. George's?

Great idea links.....we should plan a meetup for a week of golf and poker.
Or Carnoustie/St. Andrews?
I know of some fantastic B&B's in both locations.

Will more than likely head over for the Saturday round. We are talking about moving the audit to May starting next year so I'm not sure how many Open Championships I'll get to make in the future. (been to Hoylake, Birkdale, and Carnoustie)
Noels - stayed in a B&B in Broughty Ferry when I went to Carnoustie.......not sure I would call it fantastic though.
Sorry for the threadjack Steven.

Sounds familiar! I'm interested in theory, time and location are big factors though.
I would however welcome the return of the aforementioned home game...

Can't say the interest has been overwhelming, so doubt anything well happen.
That said, my home game will be back underway soon, might aim for an early April one.

Re: UK CT Meetup
I'm in the expanding family camp too, I'm afraid. Expecting our first next month, so I doubt I'll be going anywhere or doing very much any time soon!
CT doesn't exactly seem to be swamped with UK members...

Re: UK CT Meetup
I'd be in for this - and provided I'm in the country and not working, I'd go anywhere.
I'd even bring some chips!
