Marc from Truepokerdealer saying hello

Hey everyone,

I was recently introduced to this forum after someone commented on my Youtube videos. I love the passion for poker chips on here. I made all of my videos using the China Pharaohs and love the look, sound and feel of them for the money.

I wanted to get Paulson chips through the casino I worked at, but would have had to wait 6 weeks for them and they would have had the casino logo on them so I couldn't have used them in the videos. Too bad because that would have been the dream.

People have already been asking me if they can buy chips from me and it would be nice to at the very least be able to make educated recommendations on which chips to get, depending on how much a person is willing to spend. I have spent a lot of time in casinos that already have chips and that purchase chips that only sell to casinos, so I am a bit inexperienced when it comes to the chips that are actually out there.

To start, I would love to find out some comparable chip sets to the China Pharaoh's that I have, along with something that most people consider to be a slight step up from them.

Also, if anyone on here has any questions about dealing poker professionally, just send me a message and I would be happy to answer.

Marc

Hi there. I watched your videos and it was really educational. Nice work.

As for chips, something comparable to China Pharaohs would be other china clay chips.

If you want mint casino paulsons, Jim at the chiproom is the place to go: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/thechi...le-thread.html

If you want used casino paulsons, go to the same place and look for the big sales that Jim has from time to time. You're in luck because the next one is soon: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/thechi...-day-sale.html

Last, but not least, welcome to the forums and you'll leave with a lighter wallet.

Love the videos. They are great and I can't wait to practice some to become a better dealer.

Thanks! The best advice you could give someone is to come to this site and spend all their money... Also, make sure to get samples of whatever type of chips you are interested in!

Re: Marc from Truepokerdealer saying hello

Once again welcome Marc! Yes i have the Pharaoh's too and they are really nice chips. I have 1,000 chips in a clear acrylic carrier. When i first bought them i had some trouble trying to fit them in the chip racks and had to get a bigger size. That was the only complaint i had. Did you get the Pharaoh dealer button with your set? Here's a list of some buttons as well as the Pharaoh: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/thechi...r-buttons.html

These are the chips that are on my with list. I have the sample set. They're amazing!

Anyway, welcome. Make yourself at home!

and yes like the OT (other person) said...if you plan on buying chips get samples first.

Thanks for the videos. I had always wondered how to pitch cards properly and spent hours trying to watch real dealers but never quite figuring it out until your videos.

Re: Marc from Truepokerdealer saying hello

Marc,

Welcome to CT. I've watched (but not yet studied) a couple of your videos and they are spectacular! I find myself watching the dealer when I'm not involved in a hand and have picked up a few things that way, but I'm blown away by how thorough your teaching is.

I hope you enjoy your time here. I know everyone here will find your contributions and insight more than useful! I sure will.
