Welcome Pro! I'm down in Richmond (it'd be cool to have someone on here from Richmond as well), but odds are you are somewhere in NOVA.
Have fun, it's a great place here at CT!

Welcome to your addiction. It's there, it just hasn't reared it's ugly head yet. Also welcome to come and play in the Leesburg/Ashburn area if you're ever looking for a game.

Re: HI from VA
I guarantee you as a rookie you will probably play better than 75% of the guys who think they're good and try to run 3 shell bluffs and get creative out of position, with no draws....invitation stands, usually we run 20 person tournaments, followed by .50/1, 1/2, or on a rare occasion, 2/3 games. Both crissman and I run regular leagues every 2 weeks or so. Crissman's got better chips though, I'm stuck using NJ Skulls...

Re: HI from VA
I'll second Jason's comments. You're probably as good as some the guys who we play with, plus you have taken an interest in learning more about poker and/or chips which means your already better then most.
I run a couple different games and am about to start up a low stakes PLO tournament night to get people interested in playing without costing a whole lot of money.
