Hello, longtime drooler over chip pron but new to chiptalk. I feel forums are a great resource, and any time I find a hobby or interest I immediatly look for a forum that suits it. You can read FAQ's but it is nice to converse with people that are already elbows deep in it.
Currently I only have the 11.5g "dice" chips. Got them for x-mas some years ago. Of course they just get me by, but that is about it.
I have have some samples of ASM & BCC & Chipco chips sitting around. Also I like to collect chips as souveniers when I play in casino's. Typically these are the low value chips like $1 & $2.50. I will play blackjack or other table game and keep a few chips instead of cashing them in. Cheaper than buying something in the gift shop even.
My favorite time at the table was aboard a royal carribean cruise ship for my honeymoon. (no not THAT at the table!)
Played some 3 card poker to kill time and started with $20. Got two straight flushes during the same seating during about 3 hours of play. Walked out with about $900 in chips. Have a picture of the chips around somewhere. Cashed them out later that night after taking pictures for proof, lol.
Looking forward to get a nice set of chips someday. Till then i'll enjoy looking at yours!
