Just discovered your great site here ... I'm a little overwhelmed! I'm a poker enthusiast down in Australia, I run a small home game with weekly cash games and online forum/blog. Having had some moderate success playing online, I've decided to use some of my profit and take the plunge into a custom chip set for my home poker club.
A google search brought me here! Not sure where to start ... is there a FAQ?
Anyway, hi! I'll surf around and check out the site.
Welcome to the boards mate. You'll definitely get the answers you're looking for here. Usually you'll get warned about the addiction to poker chips. So let me be the first to say I warned you. But have a great time here.
Haha I am a bit worried that both might happen - addiction and say goodbye to $$$
One question - anyone know of any other Aussie members? Love to talk to some locals about their experiences sourcing Customs in Australia.
Look for a member with the name "ontilt". Pretty sure he's an Aussie. Oh yeah, do you have a wife/girlfriend? Do you get along well with her? Do you have money? If yes to any of these questions...you're in trouble.
Welcome to ChipTalk Buzz. We're glad you found us and hope you enjoy the site and the company.

The first thing you need to do is figure out if you like clay or ceramic chips.
The only way to do this is to buy some sample chips to handle and look at.
When you know what type of chip you want it's time to figure out a design you want to use.
Now you can start to design your chip in a graphic program like Photoshop or Illustrator or similar.
If you don't have the knowledge how to use such programs you can ask for help from some of the talented designers on this board.
