Welcome to chiptalk! Kudos for your reluctance to go into debt regardless of how debt-worthy a set of custom chips may seem. While you're saving for your dream set, you'll have lots of fun refining your design. Good luck!
Welcome aboard!! Chiptalk has been a huge help for me and has been alot of fun as well!! However, I wish I spent a little more time deciding what kind of chips to buy before I ended up with 4 different sets(many samples and couldn't decide)!! It's addictive!!!
Wow....BCC charges $150 for each denom? That's insane.......
I've also been looking at PI clays. They seem very good for the price. I've seen a few sets on CT and they all look great, especially the set that Snowstorm has. I heard PI is working on a new mold with edge spots similar to the WSOP 2007 chips so I might hold out for those. Not to mention they're not too pricey.
LOL....I'm working on a finance degree and if my professors found out I did that, they would fail me Minimum monthly credit card payments = shortcut to huge debt......
Well that's why you pay more than the minimum, I'd never advocate someone pay just the minimum. No chip company is going to let you buy chips for 0% anyway, so no matter how you cut it, you're gonna have to pay interest. So if paying more than the minimum isn't possible, then the previous advice about the savings account is probably best for you.
Being here on chiptalk does not square up with the ethos of a sensible finance degree. It's chips or common sense and financial normality, your choice...
