I agree with "SMOORE" about the t-mold blanks by BC sold by holdempokerchips. I have a sample set and love the color selections and for people who like a heavier BC chip, this chip is for you.

Also agree that Imperial Blue is a great color for a $10,000 chip.

I thought that a few Vegas casinos used grey for their $5K chip?

I'm also on the "stick with the standard colors/denoms" boat. You are looking to invest quite a bit of cash, here....so no matter who you play with in the future, whether it be the current group or not, you won't regret it later. But beware if you plan to buy any $1 chips....you will have to decide blue or white...

If you do ever decide to go ceramic: samples, samples, samples! Lot's of folks like the ceramics from ABC, Chipco, Nevada Jacks, and Palm Imports. Each (to me) have distinctly different 'feel'. I personally prefer the Chipco brand, but they are the priciest. Good luck.
