Now THAT would be a poker chip! |

Chips: 29 | | | Re: Custom Ceramic Chip Group Buy Bravo Stank and thank you NJ. I will have to agree....these are going to be hard to resist. Ok.....I'm in for a cash game set. I am digging the hell out of your mockups Stank. I also will have to say that I just can't do the smooth chips. Something about the texture that just feels right but a great option for some. I REALLY hope there won't be any loss of quality in the image on the textured chips. |

Chips: 1,813 | | | Re: Custom Ceramic Chip Group Buy we'd love to have you over for a game since you'll only be about 15 -20 minutes away. you may even get lucky and be able to play with yeltzens NJ skulls! if you come, you may have to bring a few of those smooth samples though. i'll work on a button, and i'll shoot you a PM in case you're serious about coming for a game. |

Chips: 92 | | Re: Custom Ceramic Chip Group Buy I have a few questions and comments:
1) Stank, the designs look great, I like the text/font on the most recent 0.25 chip for the name of the resort. Maybe just go with the 'Condado Beach Resort' or 'Condado Beach Casino'. Anything more could be hard to read.
2) I really like the fact this set will appeal to the 0.25/0.50 cash game players. I current use a Desert Sands set that everyone really likes. It seams like most sets are geared toward tournament only.
3) Regarding individual chips, I like a mix of colors. I'm not a big pure solids fan and this set doesn't appear to be headed that way. What about adding black or dark blue marks similar to the black marks on the pink chip to the 0.25 chip? Mabe just place them at 1:30, 4:30, 7:30 & 10:30?
I know your trying to keep with a theme from a previously produced chip. I wonder if the 1.00 chip could be jazzed up a bit by adding a center color to the 'edge spots'. I was thinking the brown in the yellow chip as the center color. This pattern may look similar to the 100, but I rarely see the 1 & 100 chips on the table at the same time.
I'd love to see the pink chip be $2.00 instead of the NCV. That would fit great in a small cash game set. I really like the lower denominations you have, the 2 would make the set even better (or $2.50).
4) The big question I have is what are the stacks going to look like? What are the edge spots going to look like? Are they going to be similar to the face of the chip?
Anyways, these are just some comments and questions to further the discussion. I like the looks so far.

Chips: 1,813 | | | Re: Custom Ceramic Chip Group Buy just a real quick answer jiggs..go back a page or two and you can see the stacks. i'm working with Fins right now on the fonts. i'll post a mock-up of some different versions of the quarter with spots a little later. i agree that the $1 is a little plain, but i think since that's one of the origianls, most would want to keep it the same, if not, i'll change it a bit (i may actually have to add a stroke outline to the spot anyways to seperate it, but i'll see what NJ says about that). | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
