It seems like every group buy set has to have the standard 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000 chip denoms. I would love to see a group buy set that consists of 0.10, 0.25, 0.50, 1, 2.50, 5, 10, 20. I would like that set to have mutiple edge spots with multiple colors, nothing with minimal edge spots nor pure solids. 90% of the people I play poker with prefer a cash game (0.25/0.50 NLHE, the 0.50 chip gets a ton of use), they prefer having several denoms, they don't like very many 0.25 chips and they like colorful chips ( don't like pure solids). We use my NJ Desert Sands set (0.25, 0.50, 1, 5) 99% of the time. Everyone likes the colors and the denoms. A $2.50 & $10 chip would go great with that set. I hope someday a group buy would take place for a colorful cash set. Something similar to this or the Horseshoe set that is different than what is currently available. I'm off my soapbox.

Chips: 62 | | | Re: Custom Ceramic Chip Group Buy I'd interested in 400 or so of these, but I'd like to see them in photos and/or samples before committing if that's possible. Sorry if this has been addressed and I missed it....
If no samples are available, what will these chips compare to? Normal NJ ceramics (Skulls, Desert Sands)? |

Despite the great options coming out and the really great prices, I already have two tournament sets... And my cash set I was forced to pluck out of a tournament set with mirco denoms on the low end (sortof an afterthought add on).
Someone design a great chip set for a cash game... 10c, 25c, 50c, $1, $2.50 ($2? $3?), $5 and $20. Maybe a $100 too. Do this and yoru design will sell.

Chips: 7,134 | | | Re: Custom Ceramic Chip Group Buy Maybe I'm just stupid, but can someone please explain to me the purpose of having 10c, 25c, 50c, $1, $2, $2.50, $3, $5, $10, $20, and $25 denominations? I mean, is it just so that you can have 29347293874 different color chips on the table or what? I can understand 10c, 25c, $1, $5, $25... and $2.50 if you play blackjack in your home games. Otherwise, it's just stupid. Especially 50c, $10 and $20 chips... what purpose could they possibly serve? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
