Please note that in order to use a blue logo, like on the original EPT chips, we have changed the "E" in the mold to a "C" and "European..." to "Canadian..." instead. I've added a chip with the original logotype design for reference.

Hi Matt,

I think that modifying the mold is a bad idea, it's one of the most important thing in these replicas.
Moreover, by choosing the label "Canadian poker team", you lost the "european" touch that makes these chips great.

have you tried to use a darker blue with the ETP label ?

Voted for the CPT, might be a little buyist because im from Canada. But any way this goes Ill be happy.

There is one thing i don't understand, why do you modify the design so much when you sell on the other hand perfect WSOP replicas?

The cards on the logo and the text "european poker team" is not enough?

The big difference between the two, the way I see it, is that these are ceramic replicas of ceramic chips. The WSOP replicas could never be mistaken for real as they are a completely different type of chip. I hope this explains.

I tend to agree with you. The first prototypes had a rather dark blue color but I don't think I can use blue at all unless I do some drastical changes to the chip. I tend to lean towards black at this point. From a distance you can't tell if the logo is blue or black and black goes well with all chips as they all have lot's of black in them allready. I will decide what to do by tonight so we can move forward with these.

I understand, but just notice that about the "canadian" ones, from a distance, you can't tell if it's a copy or not.
The black logo is definitly more different than the original, and it goes better with the entire design (please don't change the mold...).

One more question, you can't write "EPT" (and not ETP) with "European Poker Team" with the black logo ? too close from the original for you?

I worry that the spelling "EPT" would get me in trouble. The red logo would also be safer for me as it would make one of our chips clearly visible in a pile of real EPT chips. If the EPT are not worried about these chips, I don't have to be worried either. But if they worry that our chips could be used to cheat in the real EPT events and they come chasing after me, then I would prefer to be on another planet.

I am following your EPT-Replica discussion for quiet a while now.
Considering you take this issue very serious, I just wanted to know if you actually talked to somebody (who got real knowlege) about this issue.

As far as I see it... we are all just guessing how far you can go.
