      I'll have to measure the drawer depth, but my best suggestion is to measure the height width and depth of your specific racks and chips for the drawer design. Without going to measure, My recollection was that my plastic racks with chips in was less than 2 1/2 inches, so I went with that. Then figure how many racks you want int the drawers (I went 5x3 , but 5x4 would work too). I can open three drawers before the cabinet tips. You have to design with stability in mind or anchor the cabinet to the wall.

      Also, remember to put a bigger (taller) wdrawer for the possibility of oversized chips if you ever think you might have some.
