I've been searching for samples and found that it can be a pita to find shops that sell per chip and don't charge out the rear for shipping. Here are the best places I could find to order from. If anyone else knows of a better place to get samples, please post it here.

I tried to find a shop that sells as many of the chips I was looking for to avoid having to pay shipping costs multiple times. I couldn't find a shop that has a good selection of both Paulson and Chipco w/o terrible shipping costs, so if anyone knows of one, please post it.

I'm not including chip costs since a difference of .20-30 on a dozen chips isn't that much of a difference. Shipping totals are for 20 chips.

They sent me a single horsehead and a bunch of crappy plastic chips. When I called again and told them I wanted to BUY a sample set of their horsehead with inlays, they said I had to spend a minimum of $20

I explained that I was planning to buy a set of these from them but wanted to see the colors in person so wouldn't they waive the minimum and let me just buy one of each? No. Then the guy says he'll send me a couple of them if I give him my name and address. I do and he apparently pretends to write it down and lie to me about sending a couple for free since HE NEVER DID! Over 2 weeks ago now and the first sample set arrived in 3 days.

I'd suggest you don't do business with kardwell.com and stick with pokerchips.com for any ASM chip orders.

hey thanks man. it took me a while to find you guys, i found scott's table forum first and started building tables, spent a crapload of money, now i have a few nice tables and can afford to upgrade my chips. it's great to have all this chip info available.

i'm really diggin those club desparado chips, the chipco ones. if it wasn't for this forum, i would have never found em. thanks again.

Not to feel like I'm pushing you into anything, but check out the Matsui group buy... we are buying chips similar to those used in the Heads Up Poker Tournament, and it should be a fun buy.

yeah i was reding the post a few days ago, i was even farting around with a design in photochop. i have a friend who owes me for building 6 tables for him and i think i'm gonna make him buy me a 500 set of custom designed chipcos.

that could be a while though, i might just get the matsuis to hold me over. i'm gonna keep my eye on the group buy for sure.
