9g Las Vegas Premier for 0.10/chip

Stopped in at the local Spencer Gifts today and saw that they had the 9g Las Vegas Premier chips on sale for 9.97 per 100 with a chip rack. I picked up 500 (300 x 1 & 200 x 5) for $45 as a backup cash set using a 10% of coupon I had.

The one by me only carried sets with 60 x 1 and 40 x 5. I've seen them with these sets as well as mixed sets: 20 x 1, 20 x 5, 20 x 10, 20 x 25 and 20 x 100.

awesome, there wass another chip that someone got-lucky 7's from spencers. i wish there was a spencer by me

Hey hachkc, is the Spencers near you going out of biz or moving? Just hit the 2 Spencers near me and they have the Vegas chips at $24.99 pr 100

. The manager said if they were clearanced it would be in all stores unless the store was closing or moving. Just curious.

i like these chips! i really hated them for awhile (i play in a weekly game with them), but they grew on me. they stack well, and aren't as slippery as they could be. they sound good too (no insert)

what is Spencers guys? i dont have any near me but that is a GREAT deal!

i have the same chips too. they are slippery though. i wish there was a way to put a textured inlay on them and it would solve most of the porblems. if they were 1g heavier with a textured inly, they would be the ultimate chip for the price IMO and just as good as some BJ's. they need to remake these like the nexgens did. new colors with different edgespots and colors for each denom.

Spencers is kinda like Hot Topic stores without the clothes. Kind of an adult novelty store.

I don't believe they are going out of business (no signs or anything) but I didn't really ask.

I've seen them in the store a couple times for 24.99 because I stop in there every now and then to to see if they have anything new in their small poker section. I was going to swing by one of their other stores in area to see if they had a mixed set (1,5,10,25,100) on sale for 9.97. I'll let you know what I find.

As for what is Spencer's, check out their website: http://www.spencergifts.com . Its pretty basic as they don't have an online store yet but they do have a store locator and phone numbers.

Its definitely not a store you want the little kids wandering around in unsupervised as they do carry a lot "adult" oriented goods, nothing hardcore that I'm aware of though.
