In my opinion they have better memory than kems, but my new kems, i have not been happy with, i can't explain what's going on with kem. Copag has better memory than the last kems i bought. I can't tell if they are thicker than kems, or they just have better memory. Lifting a corner doesn't leave any tell tale signs, they go right back. They shuffle great!! When you first get them they are a little slick, but after you play a few rounds they break-in real nice, and still keep their memory. It seems the good plastic cards all run around 19-20 bucks. I see some kems on ebay going for 30-40 dollars, mostly because of reputation, and collecters.
With new technology of the 21 century, the production of new plastic cards has just improved. KEM was way ahead of there time back in the 1940's. But everyone else has caught with them. Personally i think Kem's are selling at high prices strictly on their reputation, not on quality any more, other cards are as good as kem now. But everyone wants to own some KEM'S because thay did set the standard. I own 4 good decks, and use them sparingly, just to say i own some kem's. I haven't seen any of the new KEM'S since U.S. Plying cards bough them out. They are not making them yet, as far as i know. Kinda long answer huh!
