Is anyone selling, or has anyone seen for sale lately, any old Paulson Starburst chips? I bought a set of these and I really like them, but would like to supplement with some additional colors.
Also, does anyone know the history of the starburst chip? I heard they were mainly Paulson sales / marketing samples. Is that why they're so hard to find? Anyone know if Paulson might consider making another blank / generic set kind of like that, since they're selling to the home market again?

watch ebay...they come up on there all the time...i've seen some very nice ones with really complex edgespot variations...a lot of them seem to be actual casino chips that have been cancelled with a hot stamp...
Yup, Ten, those are the ones. I think I found the same site, but I assumed it was kaput since the front page was inaccessible (had to read the google cache). Thanks!

i almost got some on ebay recently(they went for $662 + $20 s&h for 600 chips!!!). they had beautiful labels and colors and edge spots:
well, i guess i'm not huge on all the colors, but these are damn fine chips, especially for the price, imho, with or without the "starburst" cancel on them...
I do not think they necessarily used up the Starburst hot stamp only for samples. I think they used it for canceling old casino chips as well, rather than notching the edges.
