Sorry to keep hi-jacking your sale thread..

Any idea if that rust can be cleaned/taken off?

Also, how did you acquire so many of the purple chips but so little of other colors, and was the set ever used in any way?

The colors of the stacks are a bit washed out, but the scans Jamby did of the individual chips are right on the mark. I have a set of these as well and they are SWEET.

Re: Dunes/Condados/Ambassador Plaza/Winner Club/Sahara/Grand/Aruba/Dorado/Cerromar &

There are many folks who think the rust could be cleaned from the greys. I've only attempted the obvious - Diamond, Sterling's Oxy-Clean. Those made a dent in it, but didn't entirely clean it and I only worked on one chip.

JM and Tomb1 both have/had ideas for removing rust as I recall.

I bought what I believe was the very last set of tourney casino chips from the original seller. This is what remained.

Here's an option for a 24 player tourney breakdown:
Each player starts with 40 chips in the following amounts:
30 purple ($15,000) 5 orange ($5,000) and 5 grey ($25,000) = $45,000 in
starting chips

40 chips each for 24 players is 960 plus an extra 40 greys for color up.

They have never been played with as far as I know. The seller said they were mint and I've had them in a birdcage since purchasing.

Re: Dunes/Condados/Ambassador Plaza/Winner Club/Sahara/Grand/Aruba/Dorado/Cerromar &

OK, got to state this publicly here.

This is my initial experience in the m2m arena, as is evidence by all I have to sell I suppose. I was completely unaware of just what I was in for. That said, there are some mighty touchy folks out there and I'd like to state the following publicly.

I'm not intentionally ignoring anybody's PMs. If you sent me a PM asking me for a response and I haven't responded, please resubmit the PM after a matter of hours have passed. I don't get CT at the office so can't respond during the work week between 5:30 am and 6:00 pm C.S.T.

Dont' assume that I'm a) ignoring you or b) disrespecting you or c) not being as 'nice' as you expected me to be or d) don't really want to sell all my stuff or e) something equally inconsistent with my personality and track record here at CT.

Please, give me a little more credit than that. I've not sold outright publicly here before, but I've had a heckuva lot of trades with you folks and participated in a ton of group buys. Not a single failed transaction among them. I like folks to be agreeable and happy with deals and that's what I intend to do in this m2m.

On the other hand, if your most recent PM to me was on the order of a) "OK then, let me know if so-and-so backs out" or b) "let me know if you change your mind Jamby" or c) anything else equally on par with something that could be construed as temporarily closing a conversation - then I probably won't be responding as there's nothing for me to say.

If on the other hand, I fail to respond to a real question or an offer - just re-send it. I probably just inadvertantly deleted it while purging my PM box. I've had to do that multiple times over the past few days.

No disrespect from me toward you should be construed by my failing to respond to a question or offer from you.

Peace,
-jamby

Jamby, anyone who thinks any of the above is an idiot and doesn't deserve a response.
