Sorry to hear about your family. I know how traumatic medical emergencies can be. We were in Michigan to see Jimmy Buffett a couple of months ago (we're from Nova Scotia) and my 3 year old had an "idiopathic anaphylactic" episode (her second in 12 months).
9-1-1, ambulances, firetrucks and incredible medical care. We're still sorting out the costs. I can put myself in your place to some extent and I wish you and your family nothing but the best. It's unbelievably scary when it's your own family and you have no control of anything that's going on.
My purpose for posting is to:
1) thank you for the chip that you sent me, which I received ( I'll be posting to "The Good..." thread about that later) not an important point in yor family's current circumstances;
2) let anybody who doesn't already know that you're great to deal with know that you're great to deal with, and if they're interested in Rounders chips they have a great opprtunity to purchase incredible chips from you;
3) let you know that I'm interested in the TILT chips but am pretty broke with regard to large purchases for the next little while - I may have some $$ coming in in a week or ten days, and, if the TIlts are still available, I may be better positioned to make a purchase of that size - right now I'm looking to fill out my Rounders chips with a KGB 1$ and a Chesterfield $500, so if you have those to sell, I'm interested - [also have the Chesterfield $1, $5, $25 and $100 to trade for those but expect that you're not in trading mode, I know]:
4) Most importantly- Let you know that I'll follow this thread and hope that things work out for you - it's a little bit strange how you can relate to the personal , family, medical emergencies of others you meet in forums like this but it strikes me that once you've been interacting with people and come to recognize them and value those interactions, how concerned you can become that things turn out as well as possible for them. If I'm not mistaken, my original involvement in this site, a few years ago, was a result of your postings about the MARVEL Paulsons - I only became involved in this site and everything I've enjoyed from it because you posted about some pretty obscure licensed MARVEL chips from Dufferin Games.
I know I'll be back in touch with you soon and that everybody on this site who knows who you are, has their best wishes for you, your wife and your son
Best wishes,
