Chips: 18,645 | | | New casino $1 Paulson chips available Hi all, the first casino on the MIssissippi Gulf Coast has re-opened after Hurricane Katrina -- the Imperial Palace in Biloxi.
They have a new poker room with lots of brand-new $1 white Paulson chips (plus their pink, red, and other chips). They have edge spots plus a very nice linen inlay.
If anyone would like a bunch of these, I'd be happy to get them for you. Just let me know, we don't need much of an excuse to go over there! |

Chips: 18,645 | | | Re: New casino $1 Paulson chips available Oh, I can get hundreds of nearly new chips from the poker room. All I need is cash. I'll probably get 'em in a Paul-son rack, too.
My only problem will be getting out without playing them! That may be more self-control than I can muster...
Just PM or email me with your requests.

Chips: 18,645 | | | Re: New casino $1 Paulson chips available I know most of the casinos (barges) were broken up by the storm, and I saw news footage of slot tokens on the ground. But I heard from folks at a couple of places that all their table chips (cheques) were in a vault and survived.
Chips from The President in Biloxi are starting to show up on eBay, so I assume those chips are not good any more. Whether these were chips scavenged from the casino or chips that someone had in their collection, we'll never know. But if they open back up, it looks like they'd have to get new chips.
Imperial Palace in Biloxi is using their same chips, so they must know that the chips are secure. They've added the new white $1s, but all the others are the same as far as I can tell.
As the other casinos open it will be interesting to see if they use new or old chips. And I wonder about the new Hard Rock BIloxi, which was set to open 3 days after the storm. Everything was all ready, then they shut down and the casino portion was destroyed. But the hotel and the huge guitar sign out front survived OK!
Mississippi regs require the casino to destroy or cancel their old chips, so we should not be able to buy obsolete chips from a legit source. Too bad! |

Chips: 1,340 | | | Re: New casino $1 Paulson chips available For anyone wondering about getting these chips from Tom I say, "go for it." I think they actually look better in real life than they do in the pics above. They are in really good condition and mine arrived safely and quickly.
Better than all that.... Tom is a great guy to deal with. Absolutely top notch.
Thanks Tom!

Chips: 1,998 | | | Re: New casino $1 Paulson chips available I'd really only like one chip...if you want, I can trade you a paulson from my local casino...casino edmonton...it is a white $1 chip, grand inlay top hat & cane, with alternating 1/2" spots (412-2) with yellow and black spots (by digital camera cord is MIA right now but I can post a pic)...
if you don't want to trade, then I'd take a few up to 5 just to make the shipping cost worth while...
so 1 if you want to trade a single chip or 5 if you don't...
cheers and let me know how you want payment... | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
