i haven't seen anyone offer them at a price even close to the retail value of the chips. the cheapest i've seen for retail is $200 + shipping. if it bothers you, just exercise more discretion when clicking on threads...

Well, some people have tried to sell theirs for $15-20 over the going ebay price, which is probably what he was referring to. It kind of irritated me. Although I realize that some people didn't check ebay first, those who did were trying to play the CT community for suckers.

With my chips on the way, I'm not sure if I'm going to sell them or not - it's quite the buyer's market for PSO skulls right now...

i definitely don't think anyone is trying to take the ct community for suckers with these nj skulls. a good deal below retail is still a good deal. here are all sold, completed auctions of the nj skulls that are returned by a search on "nevada jacks" on ebay:

auction 1: sold for $113.61 + $19 shipping
auction 2: sold for $134.50 + $18 shipping
auction 3: sold for $128.02 + $25 shipping
auction 4: sold for $150.00 + $25 shipping
auction 5: sold for $132.50 + $22 shipping

average total price: $153.52

I don't think any long time members are trying to take us for suckers - as you could probably tell from my post, I am familiar with the ebay prices. I've seen a few sets here for $160 or more, once the shipping is included. I didn't bother to check if they were long-time members or not - if they are, I expect they just didn't bother to check. If they aren't, who knows what they're trying to do.

edit: btw, hunterking, I hope it's obvious I wasn't talking about your set - your price is very fair, and you're a longstanding member.
