Considering they sell for 66c plus shipping online, and I am in Canada so shipping is higher, that price is fair. Plus I did say OBO. But thanks for your input, it added a lot to my sale

Not trying to sabotage your sale, just trying to give my opinion about the price. Yes, they sell retail for 66c plus shipping for individual chips, but with the influx of Nevada Jacks because of the free PSO promotion.....not many will pay $60+ for 80 chips when you can get a full 300 set for just over $100.

Just my opinion.

If sold in Canada, the price will be a bargain without the hassels of higher shipping and customs but for members in the US, price is a bit high.

Yes you can get a set from PSO, a set which is not very useful due to the denoms you get. So I am offering some higer denoms to make a more useable set. Not trying to be a prick, but I hate "price police". I posted a price, and put or best offer (which means if you think it is to high but want the chips, make an offer). You stated your opinion, and even though I feel it has no place in my sale, you are free to do so.

So...Back to the topic on hand. I have 79 Nevada Jack Skulls For sale. Asking $60 shipped OR BEST OFFER. If you don't have any Jacks, then I suggest going to PSO. But if you do and are looking to add to your totals, feel free to pm me with an offer on these ones!

You're making yourself look bad by trying to defend your price with that "this is better approach". If you want more than the retail market price for them then so be it. Be prepared for some criticism. Don't try and offer any of the of those poor excuses as an attempt to justify your price. You're not the first person to post something here thinking that they're entitled to recover all of their costs including shipping and taxes, regardless of market price. The fact of the matter is that if your price is too high, or the right buyer does not come along, it just won't sell regardless of whether you have OBO there or not.

Like you said, he's entitled to his opinion, and no doubt there will be a few more coming. My suggestion would be to try another approach other than trying to justify your asking price.

I don't understand the problem at all. I posted a price. People think it was too high. That is fine that people think it is high. Frankly I figured as much, but I posted Or Best Offer so people knew that I am more than flexible.

As a matter of fact...right now you have to pay 89cents per chip, plus shipping from HPC. Add in the shipping and you would pay around $75 for 79 chips. My price is $15 less than that, and I am willing to obviously go lower, otherwise I wouldn't have posted obo. That is what my price is based on (they say 65c per, but when you go to your cart they show up at 89c per)

Not trying to offend anymore or start anything, but one of my biggest pet peeves is people who feel compelled to post comments about a price on an item that have no interest in purchasing. Everyone on this board knows the value of these chips, and everyone is educated enough to know what they want to pay for them. No one posted asking what a fair value for these chips are, because we all know it already. I feel posts ripping on the price do nothing but scare away potential buyers because they think it is a ripoff, even though it isn't as I cleared showed by pricing them from the Official Sponser of this site.

Sorry if anyone feels offending by any of my comments, they are not meant to be harmful. Fact is, I love this site and visit it more per day than any other site out there.

If a mod wants to close/delete this thread, feel free to. I doubt these chips will sell anyways now.

You're starting to sound like one of those kids trying to justify their pricing. Realistically, what you're doing is insulting everyone else's intelligence. Finding a site to justify your pricing and hoping that everyone else is too dumb to find another site that has more competitive pricing. It's not exactly a big secret that Nevada Jacks composite chips regularly sell for about 60-65¢ each at a number of web sites, including sets directly from Nevada Jacks (60¢). If you want a site, that sells these chips for 65¢, try 5star or one of the sites that drop-ships from 5star. That's just one that comes to mind off the top of my head.

I'm not criticizing your asking price, others have already done that. What I'm trying to tell you is that you keep digging a deeper hole for yourself. You're in a no-win situation here. This forum is open to all members and they will post, if contradicting posts bother you, perhaps this is not the best place for you to try to recoup the costs of your chips.

And sorry, I have no interest in any of the NJ composites.
