Are they engraved on both sides? I'm still looking to get some faux done. I was thinking of doing the shaped inlays you'd shown a long time ago, but only one sided. Almost like a Pittsburgh Steeler helmet.

Yes, they are engraved on both sides. The other sides of the chips are purposely not shown because they are personalized for a member's Christmas gift. I do remember your request for the shaped inlays too.

How detailed can the artwork be?are we limited to simple denoms?

I wonder how a dyed FC will look, if the laser goes deeper than the dye job did. Could be interesting.

The limitations on detail vary from one material to the next along with the material's surface texture. No, there is not a limitation to denominations.

I haven't tried one yet; I'll need to test one to see what occurs.

Awesome job! Those look fantastic. IHHO think it is time you start another thread in your forum showing only the chips you have done and another locked thread with your service and costs. I know that I was watching this thread at the begining with a lot of interest but stopped looking at it after it got really long thinking things were still in the wroks. Seeing what you can do make me now want to customize my FC. Could you post or send me a pm with the cost per FC chip? Also, how much lighter do the chips feel with all that material gone? How about the sound?

I can feel a slight weight difference of the 'full face' lasered chips. I don't have a gram scale, but I should weigh them some time to see how much lighter they are. I can't hear a sound change after lasering. When things take off, you'll notice an explosion of information in the LazerChips area. For now I'm processing one side for .10¢ and two sides for .15¢.
