Re: Multi Table player movement
Couldn't find the CT thread, but here are the sections governing both areas from our club rules (per RRoP v11 and TDA v2009.02):
Quote:
2.3 PLAYER MOVEMENT
2.3.1 The number of players at each table shall be kept reasonably balanced by transferring players as needed to keep table sizes within one player.
2.3.2 If moving a player from a table is required to balance tables, the player due for the big blind will be automatically selected to move, and will be given the earliest possible seat due for the big blind if more than one seat is open.
2.3.3 New players moved to a table as a result of balancing tables shall be dealt in immediately unless they are moved to the small blind, the button position, or between the small blind and the button position, where they must wait until the button has passed to the player on their left before being dealt a hand.
2.3.4 In multi-table tournaments with four or more tables, the tournament director shall break tables in a pre-set order as players are eliminated, with players from the broken tables randomly assigned to empty seats at other tables.
2.3.5 A complete redraw for seating shall be performed when the field is reduced to two tables, and again when the field is reduced to one table.
2.3.6 The tournament clock shall be paused by the tournament director to allow sufficient time for all players to move their chips to their new table seats.
2.3.7 Players instructed to change tables should collect their tournament chips and proceed immediately to their seat at the new table.
2.3.8 All players shall leave their seat immediately after being eliminated from an event.

Quote:
2.5 CHIP EXCHANGE
2.5.1 The lowest denomination chips in play shall be removed from the tournament when they are no longer required for the blind or ante structure, and will be exchanged by the tournament director for higher-denomination chips.
2.5.2 The chip exchange may occur during a scheduled tournament break, or the tournament director may temporarily suspend play and pause the tournament clock to facilitate the chip exchange.
2.5.3 The tournament director shall exchange higher denomination chips for all lower-denomination chips of sufficient quantities and equal value. For example, the tournament director will exchange one 100-denomination chip for every four 25-denomination chips that a player possesses.
2.5.4 A player may not be eliminated from the event during the chip exchange process. If a player only has odd chips remaining, that player will be given a new chip of the higher denomination before any other player is awarded a chip during the removal and exchange of odd chips (see rule 2.5.5 below).
2.5.5 The tournament director shall follow this procedure for the removal and exchange of odd chips:
A. The tournament director shall determine how many new higher denomination chips will be issued for each table, rounding up if necessary. For example, if the players at a table jointly possess a total of seven 25-denomination chips (equaling $175), then two 100-denomination chips (equaling $200) shall be issued to replace them.
B. The dealer shall deal one card to each player for each odd chip possessed. Players with no odd chips are not dealt cards.
C. Cards are dealt clockwise starting with the first player to the left (clockwise) of the dealer button seat who possess odd chips.
D. A player is dealt a number of cards equal to the number of his odd chips before any cards are dealt to the next player with odd chips.
E. After all cards have been dealt; the player with the highest card dealt to the table exchanges all of his cards and all of his odd chips for one new chip of the higher denomination. The player with the next highest card then exchanges his cards and odd chips for the next available higher-denomination chip at the table. This process continues until all of the higher-denomination chips available for the table have been issued.
F. If necessary, any ties for high card shall be broken by high suit (spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs, in that order).
G. A player may not be issued more than one higher-denomination chip during the odd chip exchange process.
2.5.6 Alternately, the tournament director may elect to remove and exchange odd chips by simply rounding up the odd chips of each player and replacing them with a single chip of the next higher denomination. Using this method, all players with odd chips are issued one higher-denomination chip during the odd chip exchange process, and no cards are dealt to players.

Re: Multi Table player movement
Moving Players
Tables will be kept within two player difference.
When a player is eliminated and a move must be made, the player ‘playing a hand’ in the same position (seat), relative to the button, at the highest populated table must move to the eliminated player’s seat.
The move must occur before the next hand is dealt at any table. For the purposes of this rule, a player is ‘playing a hand’ once all the blinds/antes have been posted.
