If I'm hosting the game I run two deks and take the hit as permanent dealer. Because I'm quicker at handling the pot, dealing, and keeping the action running.. and am generally in charge of the pot by default in all our games anyway. SB shuffles the next deck for me to deal. I take a shuffled deck, give it one pass and a cut. No way for cold decking.
At the other hosts games, its shuffle ahead. SB shuffles his "button" deck. Cuts to the right.
I played a vendor tourney last night and they had a hired team to run it. They told us to shuffle behind and pass the deck over to the upcoming dealer. I think this still caused disruption as we were constantly passing the new deck across the current dealer.
