advice needed on cashing people out at cash games

hi guys just looking for some advice......

this weekend i have a cash game at my place....we are having a $10 NL table and a $20 NL table with a possibility of a second $20 table (i now big stakes )
anyways i just wanted to see what you guys thought i should do with payouts when people leave.......

usually when we play (cash games) theres only 6-8 people max and when some of my mates want to cash out they say....
"ok im going to cash out but im going to just cash out all the winnings and leave my original buy in on the table, and play with that"......sometimes this really bugs me as usually they are taking my cash off the table and they still play for another 20 mins or so before they go....is this acceptable to do?

anyway i was just looking for some advice on what to do
thanks Michael

No, absolutely not. You are in the game or out. No going south with part of your money.

Agreed!! Screw that...in or out. and no cashing out for 30 minutes then buying back in, either...!

Definite no-no; as jambine mentioned its called "Going South". If you cash out, its for everything and you're done for the evening.

Also, if you allow people to rebuy from another players chip stack, that cash needs to stay on the table and is in play.

This is a definite for NL/PL games.

Re: advice needed on cashing people out at cash games

thanks guys.....thats what i thought.....this usually happens towards the end of the night, so its not as if they win a big pot then take it off the table there and then
but i will lay down the rules before we start

That may be debatable but I'd say "No" unless they are different games. In a casino or online, if you move tables you can buyin for whatever you want without an issue so whatever works for you.

Sometimes I'll run a limit and NL table. If someone wants to move from 1 to the other table or we combine tables near the end of the night, I will allow cashouts as long as they have a decent stack left (average buyin or so).

Re: advice needed on cashing people out at cash games

This is where posted house rules are good to have. There should be no going South for any reason. No cashing out till you are ready to leave. No money is removed from the table until you are ready to leave.
