Chips: 100 | | | Two Players with Same Chip Count Bust Out in the Money Here's the situation and I would appreciate it if someone would give me a ruling on this. I think I know what the proper thing to do is but I'm interested in your opinion about it.
Four players left in the tournament. Three players in a hand. Two are all in. The two that are all in have the exact same amount of chips. The two all-in players lose the hand. They both bust out in third place and are in the money.
So, how do I pay them out? Do they split the third place money?

So, how do I pay them out? Do they split the third place money? | Either split, or pay the person with the worse posistion. Like what happens with a split pot and an extra chip.

say you pay 50%/30%/20%..and for ease there is a $100 pool
50/30/20..
so pay each $25...((30+20)/2)
of you just split 3rd, does 1st get the extra cash?
just a thought |

just a thought | There are still 2 players playing after these 2 went out so you can't touch 2nd place money. I'm gathering that they were on the bubble and they are only paying 3 places when 3rd and 4th go out; not stated but its a safe assumption.
As to the original question, split 3rd between them unless they agree to a coinflip or something. |

If 4th was a paid spot as well, they would obviously split both 3rd and 4th place money. If only 3rd was paid, then they would just split 3rd place money. |
