Depends on the casino/house. Some places do and some don't. We don't at our home game and I've never seen it personally at a casino, but I've had people tell me that some do and there is mention of it in Robert's Rules. My opinion is it's fine either way, but if you're running a full table of loose players it may force a community river pretty often.

It's all random anyways. We don't at my mixed CASH GAMES.

Usually I've seen that the only time they'll burn cards in Stud is tournaments only.

We don't burn one at my home game. Like someone else said, you may end up needing a community card if you've got enough people. And I like to get about 7 people at my home, social game.

The only games we burn cards for are Hold'em and Omaha.
