Don't have an "official rule" but 2 ways I see....
1. chop the bounty - one player takes the chip and gives half it's value to the other one.
2. give it to the worst position - kinda like an odd chip in a split pot.
I would tend to chop the bounty and let the 2 work it out themselves.

On every TV tourney with bounties where this has happened (I've seen it happen a few times on the various Poker Royale shows) the bounty was split between the two players immediately, and the chip taken off the table.

You are correct sir. that is how it works. Split the bounty between them and remove the chip from play.

the real way is the person who has the most chips and the begining of the hand gets the bounty. just because it was a chop pot does not mean that the person who had the most chips could not have put the person who chopped with him all in and knock both players out.
