Bounty question

I was thinking of incorporating bounty chips into our TOC home game. I was going to put a bounty just on the top 3 players of the TLB. We've never used bounties before & this question came up when I mentioned it to another player.

What happens in this situation:

Player A (has bounty chip): T1000
Player B: T2000
Player C: T2000

Player A goes all-in and is called by both B & C. Players B & C have the same hand, knock Player A out, and split the pot. Who gets the chip?

We had a few ideas, but I'd like to know how others handle it.

Would it matter if player C has T3000, and puts player B all in (basically, does stack size come into play since they both have A covered)?

Re: Bounty question

I'll have the value of the bounty split between the 2 winnings hands.

Some give the bounty to the player with the most chips going into the hand and if the chips are equal, they'll take a full deck of cards and play high card between the winning hands. But I'll split the bounty as I feel both hands equally deserve the bounty.

Re: Bounty question

I think the Bounty chip goes into the pot. If the pot is split, the bounty is split.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I agree with this, but high card for the bounty would be the next best option.

Thanks!

That was the obvious choice, though it seems to render the 'chip' concept useless.

I'm not sawing the chip in half that's for sure!

LOL, me either. In the event that this ever happens, I will remove the bounty chip from play and give the winning hands a chip (from a different chipset) that will be recognized to indicate a split bounty.

Single chip concepts in a junkies eyes are silly anyway... Sounds like new chip, new group buy!
