tobby maguire will be suffered because of poker

I don't think, that spider man might be suffered becouse of recent incident. but poker can distroy his career. what do you think?

I think the best thing for toby to do would be to settle out of court by making a 310k+ donation to the other victims. I say 'other' because he is a victim too.

Make the donation to turn it into a positive PR exercise for him. He can afford it, then he can comes out of it looking like a good samaritan and maybe other pokers players will too bt association.

Altough maybe this would set a bad precedent (legal or not)? Not sure how US legal system works.

I kind of agree with the OP. If you see the pictures in the media of Maguire, related to this story, he looks like a degenerate--bloodshot eyes, greasy hair, somewhat negative facial expression. I think the average person can understand someone playing card games once in a while; I don't think most people can understand playing at such high stakes on a regular basis. Also, most of us love cards and have been playing a long time, we are inured to the titillation of "gambling" for the first time, but I think the general public associates gambling with doing something naughty. None of this gels with Maguire's image.
