I was thinking more of going to the club earlier and addressing the members and not trying to crash the live poker game. Obviously, I wouldn't expect cops walk into an active card game with a bunch of unknowns.

Why would they do that?

The VFA was taking in a rake, however minor the infraction, it's illegal. Not that I would want to enforce something like this but then again, there may be a lot more to this than what was reported.

I've have on several occasions told people to stop doing things that are illegal, guess what, it normally doesn't work. Some people are just dense.

but crashing through the doors in SWAT gear is a better approach? These are not 18-20 year old thugs with guns under their coats here. Every situation is different, and can be handled differently.

Yes the game was illegal, however, you don't need a sledgehammer to kill a fly.

Watched the video and I don't believe the Dallas SWAT ever crashed or went "crashing" through the doors.

Then again, I don't always believe EVERYTHING that is written in a newspaper OR is stated in video as the gospel. One also has to look at the source who's reporting it or who the main witness is. It's weird but for some reason I think some of these people are biased and aren't credible.

There's probably a lot more top this story than what we viewed but then again that's how it usually is.

I always love how people play Monday morning QB when it comes to Law Enforcement.
