The video shows a poker room that looks around average for this area. I'm surprised there weren't more plasma/lcd's on the wall. As sporting events and the associated activities are also very popular. Though I don't really follow sports, the conversations about the score and the over/under seem to come up quite often.

Some of the best dealers work for the private rooms. It's worth their time. During one recent 5/10/20NL session, the winning player was throwing the dealer anywhere from 1 to 3 $5 chips almost every hand in which the pot was over $500. And it was an action table. So, yeah the long tables are a good idea and work well if you have good dealers. I hate being packed into small tables.

I have revceived email from a room I go to that they will be closed until further notice.
This is about as stupid as alcohol prohibition was.
These are good rooms, with good people, who just want to play the game and be left alone.

Thanks for posting this. I've read a lot about this and it's neat (well, I guess as neat as it can be given the circumstance) to see a video of the rooms. Bummer that it happened though.

It is stll unfortunate, as these rooms are nicer than many so-called casinos (dives) I've been to, and the operators are enthusiasts that are just covering operating expenses
(honorable and good hosts, IMHO).
They are not dens of vice, with loan sharks and mobsters hanging in the wings as the morons in the media are so quick print, to misinform the public.
The players are quite, and well behaved, and do not distrupt the neigborhoods they are in.
However, law is blind, (and therefore, sometimes very foolish).

P.S. It is also why we have to play with nexgens
(who would want a pricey set to be confiscated?)
