GA judge arrested in poker sting....

Judge Arrested In Poker Raid

POSTED: 5:50 am EDT April 11, 2007

JONESBORO, Ga. -- The Clayton County Sheriff's Office has 53 suspects in custody following a gambling raid early Wednesday at The Poker Palace on Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro.

Clayton County Magistrate Court judge Dorian Murry is among the 53 arrested. He is being held at the Clayton County jail without bond until a hearing Wednesday afternoon.
Murry is an attorney with the Johnson and Freeman law firm. He lives in Morrow.
The raid at the Poker Palace during a Texas Hold 'em was conducted about 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Sheriff Victor Hill says the raid followed more than a month of undercover surveillance by the department's Joint Vice Task Force.
Hill said someone connected to the Poker Palace offered him a bribe to keep the operation open.
The sheriff will comment on the raid at 10 a.m. at the sheriff's office.
The Clayton County raid comes after Roswell police arrested 27 people Monday night in a high-stakes, invitation-only gambling raid.
Police say players had to go online and register and then receive an invitation. Participants had to put down ten-thousand dollars in order to get into the house where the game of Texas Hold 'em poker was being played.

Thank you. I am resting SO much better at night knowing the world is soon to be free from people enjoying their favorite past time .

The children are fine- havnt seen any kids games raided lately- but this MAY only be temporary.
