Chips: 25 | | Class C felony if you play poker online in WA This is total BS, the state of wa. sold out to the local casinos. A while ago they banned smoking here so the local casinos lost alot of revenue to tribal casinos, now the state is trying to make it up with them by banning online poker! Washington state sucks! http://www.kirotv.com/news/9325961/detail.html |

The simple fact that the legislative body just squeezed it out w/ no consent by any voters seems to prove that democracy in WA state is a lie. This obviously would not stand to a vote... Of course, I won't even register to vote, so what say do I have? But, at least no one will come to me and blame me for voting in any of these crooked scumbags.
WA state does suck.

The only recourse voters have is to remember which Representatives act contrary to their wishes and punish them by not voting for them again and hopefully removing them from office at the next possible opportunity. Unfortunately this very rarely happens for some reason.

I sure hope this is not a sign of where the US is moving nationally. There is still a push in DC to outlaw it nationwide.
One question: Can you still play for free online? If so, how can they tell if you are playing for free or for money? Basically they would have to decipher encrypted network traffic in order to catch you....

essentially: if (at the time of image capture) 86% of people polled said "no, let us play online" -how "representative" is the law? |

Unfortunately, it is far too easy for politicians to listen to the special interest money because, for the most part, they know the electorate will either never catch on or will simply vote the party line regardless of how they behave.

OTOH, if you are fortunate enough to be one of those people that makes decent money from it, you now have to lie and not report it as income on your tax return (federal offense) or report it and lie about where it came from. |

What news do you see when you watch CNN or read the local newspaper? The truth, or what you simply "need to see?" Who controls the media? Ted Turner? The rich?
Despite my obvious current views, Semper Fi.
