Couple of pics...
6am $50 3 way flip - Harley flops the Royale with cheese...
4 handed 5am degens...
Down 340 at limit, then ran up a 200 rebuy to 555. That's how you ride the roller coaster kiddos.
Convinced Justin that the first yellow Hindi chip holder needs to do - long standing Truman's House tradition (started tonight).
Ready for the next game

Re: Truman's House: Game 2: Mixed Game Learning Game (Sat 7/21 @ 12:00pm)
just got home and unpacked. the mixed game was amazingly fun - the most enjoyable game i've played in a long time, especially the draw games. i ran so bad in all the games for the first 3 hours. i was into the game for $400 and down to my last $60 then ran it back up to $550. pretty sure Lucky Dog's fiver was the good luck charm i needed
as always, bergman and the missus were fantastic hosts. will post a more extended TR to include the friday night foxwoods/mohegan trip with berg and harlequin after i get settled in at home.

Hope you guys tried out the Wisconsin summer sausage I forgot in the cooler under the drink table. I meant to break it out earlier but was too busy nitting it up to a plus $135 for the night.

Thanks Berg for setting up a great game and being an awesome host as usual.
Man, you can really get used to the speed of a pro dealer. When Noels took over during Jen's break, it suddenly seemed like he was dealing at glacial speed.
I thought the unusual game lineup was lots of fun. I was feeling bad for Berg as his chip mountain dwindled considering he arranged everything (curse of the host), so was glad to watch him go on a heater towards the end of the mixed game. I guess nobody told him that these games favor serious nits, lol.
Good to see Harley and everyone again. One of the things I found funny was Jen's reaction to Harley's rebuy bracelets. When asked how much she would pay for one (not knowing that there was currency hidden inside) she got talked up by Harley from "I wouldn't buy one" to $10 to $40. Good salesman. No wonder he was able to sell all those football squares last winter.

Thanks bud.
And considering that she had well over $500 in tips and rake when I left, I think she was the big winner.
I dealt a total of 3-4 hands during her potty break and got a nice $1 tip to finance my cash game roll.

lol, I don't think it was that much, remember those blacks are $20 chips. I saw about $300ish when you and I left, that was about 7-8 hours into her shift. Well worth it, she's one of the top 5 dealers I've ever experienced.

Total was $340 for just under 10 hours. Easily worth it for a mixed game format, and if she's willing I'll definitely be inviting her back next time we do this.
I think the most important thing in dealing these mixed games is managing the game. It's not as simple as getting the cards out there and pushing the pot - the players want to focus on the game and not on correcting the dealer and having to determine pot sized, who's action is it, valid vs invalid bet sizing, assessing winner at showdown, etc. Basically, these are all things that we suck at as players. It's almost required to get someone like Jen who does this professionally to play these games with any sort of frequency, speed, or accuracy.
NL + PLO are obviously different in nature. I'd have Noels or Dan deal one of those games, but not the mixed games. Dan deals quite a bit in charity tournaments and even he mentioned that he wouldn't want to try dealing these mixed games.

Had a blast as always. It was good meeting golden dome, jbutler, and Justin. Well not so much for JustIn...
I was running late for everything. But I did manage to fireball an install so bad that I may need to come back out.
A couple of firsts from this trip...
. Literally getting smacked then hit on. (septuagenarian that didn't look a day over 90)
. Laundry at a poker game
. First flopped royal
Big thanks to berg and CLB. I know that I was probably the loud one there.
Good to see Robin, berg, noelsy, Jm, and Jose, and Glider.

Hey not bad for just eyeballing it on the way out! Shoulda bet with noels on the total.
Don't forget the other aspect the dealer keeps track of, which is easily f'd up in self dealt games, how many draws have been done in something like badugi or 2-7TD.
