Weekend of October 6th.
Dover NH

It seems I am going to be hosting for the parts of this weekend that aren't in Portland. I thought I would start a fresh thread to organize stuff and track the lock-up list. I'm going to lock the other thread an post a link to this one to avoid confusion.

Travel Info:
60 minutes from MHT
80 minutes from Logan (train and bus both available)
60 minutes from Portland (train and maybe bus available)

If coming in for the pre-party gamble in Dover, I recommend staying in Dover. There are several hotels within 4 miles of my house. I'll get the list up soon. I'd switch to a Portland hotel after the games at my place, personally. Use your own best judgment.

I am putting Guinness and Bergman as co-in charge of the keg. As a non beer drinker, and stuff that was said in the other threads related to this event, it seems that it might be the best move. Feel free to dump it back in my lap if yu guys don't want the hassle.

I need the meat guy's contact info if we're doing meat guy for friday.

I think I can do 3 tables, but only have 2 decent tables and 20 chairs. If the lockup list gets longer than 20, I'll figure something out.

I have one small guest room, 1 large guest room (2 beds) and a loft space with a couch and room for an air mattress. (I have the air mattress). People can sleep in any of this space.

*actual sleeping space can be fought over or played for at time of event. Seems like we'll have a lot of people in the house, and the order things are requested in this thread can be the default choosing order.

Schedules of events will be posted as details evolve in this post. Currently it looks like all day gamble on friday, what about thursday night? I'm willing to do whatever the masses want on this one, my vacation rollover date is September 4th.

If there is a .25/.50 game going on I am a most likely for Friday. And same with Rickerrr. Afraid I don't have the cash flow for a 1/2 game with you guys judging by other threads I have read.

Keep me posted as to what games are going on though.

there will most likely be a .25/.50 game going on. As things develop, it will be more clear what games will be spread.

If there is a 1/2 game, I will get a pro dealer for friday (deals for tips).

Love the room names. Tim got me started saying this - "sign me up for all the things", lol. Worst case scenario, we play O8 3 headed all day Thursday, which would only be awesome as opposed to outstanding awesome.

The more I read these threads, the harder it is to resist. Consider me 75% in. I'm sure I'll take advantage of the rides to and fro (though I may spring for a rental to take advantage of the fall colors... we don't really get those around here) and may take advantage of floor space from those who have offered (more $$$ to be donated at the tables).

Hey, if things get out of my bankroll, *I* would be willing to deal for tips (I usually wind up dealing for the last few at my game after I bust out before the bubble! I'm also OCD observant of the dealers when I play live at a casino and have considered inquiring about a 'side job' when I'm not driving a multi-million dollar telescope for my 'day' job).
