Re: Cash Game TONIGHT (FRI 8/5) - HDK's (Quincy, MA)

Had a fun time. 4 pack of Boddington's Draught and 40 wings with a swimming pool of ranch dressing, and we're off. Just four handed, 25c/25c with a $40 max.

Three most interesting hands:

1. Actually 2 hands - 2 of the first 3 of the night. I stick it all in with AQs vs HDK's 33, we run it twice, he holds up. Then I stick it all in with KT on 66Q6 board and MHD (Jeff) reluctantly tank-calls with 77. We run it twice. El no improvio. Down 2 buyins, first orbit, yeeehaw.

2. I three barrel KJo and miss straight and flush draws. HDK only has 75c behind when I shove into a $11 pot. And HDK tanks. For 3 minutes. Seriously. Finally calls after I tried to talk him into it, then out of it, then incrediously stated "you can't fold with 75 cents?!!?". He shows bottom pair. OK, fine.

3. I've got Q6o. MHD raises to $1, and I come along. Q45r flop. He bets $2.25, and I call. Turn 4. We both check. River A. I'm liking my hand now. QQA44, essentially. He checks, I bet $5, he shoves for $19 on top, and I tank. Pot is $35ish and I need call $19. I finally make the crying call, expecting to either see AQ or Qx and chop, and he shows A4 for the boat. Ouchie ouchie.

Played T2 on a T8J flop. HDK either has made the straight or has 2 pair. HDK slowplays and I'm happy to come along. Turn and river both bring deuces and I fill up. I stab at the river ($10) to make it look like a steal, HDK instaflats and shows Q9 for the nut straight. Very tilting. He's in the orange and quickly approaching red.

I have another couple hands I'm going to post in the strategy section. Curious about what people think about them.

Pics to come as well. Truman's House ASM Solids.

checked the twitter feed per rob's suggestion from other thread. 4-handed should always lead to good action and it doesn't look like this game disappointed. to be able to hit up a $130+ profit in a 25NL game is lol awesome.

Maybe longer. He AGONIZED over it and kept telling people that he didn't want to throw his money away and then started with the "I just want to make the right decision" stuff.

In retrospect, it just hit me now as I typed this what he was doing. He wanted to make the correct play (if it was a laydown) to prevent tilt. Makes total sense when you know the HDK. I feel bad I gave him so much sh*t about this now.

Had a great time - and I'm telling you, these wings are out of this world. The best wings I've ever had. I didn't believe the hype at first, but I've had them 4 times now, and each time I order more.

The biggest pots were the ones between HDK and I. The entire night, I was catching big hands preflop. He was smashing flops, and I was annihilating turns and rivers. It was a broootal session for the HDK. He'll be back though, he played very well, just caught an ice cold deck.

Got some pics on the twitter. A 666 flop with 6 turn (WTF?), ASM solids starting stack and ending stack, picture of what used to be buffalo wings, etc
