Stories of cheating

I have been fixated on home game cheating for a while now. Not the mechanics of it, but actual INSTANCES of it. (this started from a thread a while back about whether or not customs would prevent cheating.)

So here's the point of the thread: Tell your story of home game or casino cheating. First hand would be great!

Couldn't decide if this goes here or in the "poker stories" forum...

Ways to cheat during shuffling and dealing.

Splashing the pot in order to camouflage shorting the pot. You catch them with an eagle eye and the willingness to stop the game so you can check to make sure the pot's right. Usually met with an "oops, my bad." The hit rate is low enough that when you do catch it, it's blown off as an honest mistake.

Used to play with a guy who fanned the corner of the deck when he dealt. He still somehow managed to lose money so I never called him out on it.

i would say cheating is going outside the written rules of the played game. easy enough. must stay within the set parameters of the game.

no first hand stories of cheating BUT...

......I have to admit at the end of the night at one of my home games i noticed a very small mark (VERY SMALL) on the back of the ace of clubs..I think I noticed it right at the very end of the last hand ( I am an honest host and would change the deck or remove the mark if possible before play resumes). But before a few guys left, 2 of them wanted to play high card takes pot. so all 3 of us put in 5 bucks and picked a random card from the pile. I had my eye locked on the 'mark' and magically pulled the A out of the line up.
This was NOT poker or a game. I compared it to a shell game or another hustle type game so any edge I had is fair game

sure I felt kinda bad but these guys are super loose players and 5 bucks to them was a straddle in 25/50cent blind game lol. I had a good internal chuckle as they left.

I would NEVER cheat in the game but picking cards.... gimme an edge
