This week's freeroll

First off, I'm glad to see others posting home game reports here. I like to read them although I probably won't respond under them.

Last night I completely destroyed the tournament until it was heads up. I mean, I was just breaking people left and right. I personally busted 8 of the 19 players. WOW. I was holy drunk and I think people would play at me because of that but the deck was just hitting me squarely in the forehead. Raise w/QQ, get reraised and call the four way pot... flop a set, break the guy holding aces and cripple another player... On the button find AA, two players allin ahead of me. I isolate and they show 66 and AK. One K on the board but not enuf, byebye... I limp with J4s in the CO and FLOP A FLUSH... break one of my good friends when I checked to him and he pushed with TP or something. It's all a little hazy because, like I said, I was DROOOONK.

Get down to heads up between myself and Jess. Jess has only played poker 6 times in her life, all of them at this bar tournament. Her boyfriend is the one running this freeroll now and he's an avid poker player. Let me tell you this, when Jess actually gets some experience she is going to be FEARSOME. She calls just enough, she folds at the right times, etc. Her weakest spot is betting... Her BF and I were telling her how she needed to make things more expensive to draw, she's getting it though. We went back and forth, back and forth... she had a pretty good lead on me at one point but I got her good on a marginal hand (in both of our cases), her paired 7 against my paired 8. THEN we flopped JJJ... I had K9o so of course I bet. She called me 'cause she don't take no guff. I catch a nine on the turn, so of course, I check... She checked behind me. The river brought a six and I bet out about 1/2 the small pot and she raised me... hmm, does she really have a jack? naaahhhh, no f'in way. "All in"... "call" WOW, she rivered a six for her boat but MHIG!

Blinds had just gone up and I had her crippled, she only had 3.5 bets or so. I simply went all-in in the dark. My something or other held up against her something or other. YAY... buy everyone that's still there a shot with my winnings and time to go home.

later all

i dont like this check, it ended up winning you money because she obviously didnt put on a J or 9 but i still dont like it. i assume you raised PF because iy look like one of your continuation bets then check so maybe it was a good move. im not sure still lol
nice report

I dont quite get how the river six made it so that beat your 9. Even if she had pocket 66 she still has JJJ66 and you have JJJ99, am I missing something?

She could have had a 10, Q, K, A and he gave her a free chance to make a better FH and take the pot.

Nice job... drunken poker stories are especially fun to read.

How much did you take home for that?

It's just a $25 bar tab for 1st place.

Why wouldn't I check in that situation? I wanted her to take a stab at the pot so I could raise allin. She's just not that agressive, unfortunately.
