This week's Tues. Game

Got cracked out of the Mon night bar tournament pretty early when I made a questionable call with AKs against a limp-reraise. Luckily, someone else had QQ behind me and he called too so I was getting 2:1 instead of even money. Limp reraiser hits trips on her 99 (huh? limp-reraise with THAT?) and I'm down to not much. Double through with A9s a few hands later only to lose it when I got 4way action on my push with 88. Ah well. The aftergame was at someone else's house and boy was it drunk in there! There was some non-poker related problem late and we figured it was time to call the game when one of the roomates yelled "Get the F*** out of my HOUSE!"... "OK, count 'em up boys, lets make it fast!"

Last night was an actionfest at my place. Only a couple of interesting situations from my end but complete insanity all around the table. It really was like being in a candy store wearing a straightjacket. $30 pots getting taken down with K high, crap like that. Amazing.

OK, my two fun hands, first was really early with a guy I'll call TEX. I've known TEX for about 10 years now and we're pretty good friends. He's a blackjack dealer up at the local casinos and he's starting to get alright at hold'em. Anyhoo, I pick up ATo and 3x it in EP while we're 5 handed. He calls and we see a flop of KKK. Holy crap. I bet out $1.50 (little less than the pot) and he raises me to $3. I figure I'm beat but he will let me know RIGHT NOW so I raise it to $6. he thinks for awhile and then pushes his stack in. I sit there and "think" for a minute and say, "You have the king, dammit... I have a pair of these." as I flip over my top card and fold. It was the ace. That was the talk of the table for the rest of the night. HE FOLDED KINGS FULL OF ACES! I'm such a stud. He did in fact have a king in the hole.

The second fun hand ended up being the last of the night. It was late, about 2am. .25/.50 6 handed, my stack is the largest at about $60. I get 88 UTG+1 and raise it 4x after UTG limps. FOUR callers, which shocked the hell out of me because I had thrown away so much. One of them was my wife, who I berated mightily later for her play. Flop comes K83, hot damn, here we go! UTG checks, I bet out something like $2, TEX pushes for $4.75, my wife raises it to 10 and now UTG makes it 15. Hmmmm, I need to tell these people to get the hell out of my pot, if I slowplay this I'll look like a ****. I push. Both my wife and UTG call. Oh crap, now I'm wondering which one is going to turn over KK.

ME: 88 (trips)
TEX: A3s (bottom pair, flush draw)
WIFE: K7 (TPNK, thus the later beratement)
UTG: KQs (TPGK, no flush draw)

Turn: K (JACKPOT!)
River: I don't even remember.

UTG starts being happy saying, "Queen kicker, queen kicker!" I didn't want to slowroll so I put my 88 out by thier buddy and said, "But I have a boat." quietly and slowly. Man, I really didn't want to bust three of my regular players in a hand but I think I would have been more of a **** if I slowplayed it. Hell, I just put my money out there, they called.

$242 pot in a .25/.50 game! HOLY CRAP! I honestly hope I didn't "skin" anyone there and they take it as a bad shearing. Like I said, at least I didn't slowplay and piss someone off. I was completely gracious and didn't celebrate at all. Needless to say, this broke the game.

good luck all.
