Report for my impromptu rebuy

The friend that we organized this game for bailed because he "had to do taxes" tonight. I'm not sure about any more of these impromptu games. F it, come on Tuesday, it was a real PITA to get this one going. Two other semi-regular players refused to come because I banned "problem guy". I have enough friends already.

OK... so we have 5 degenerate gamblers including myself and my wife who want to play a game at 10PM... shite. I suggest a freezeout because it's so late. 11PM I finally get 4 out of the 5 of us out of the bar to go to the house, the fifth is an under 21 kid who I called twice to tell him "I dunno man, I don't know if it's going to happen. Maybe you should just go home." He didn't, he drove around and smoked pot or whatever the kids do these days. 11:15, noone wants to have a freezeout because they don't want to bust and "sit around". I'm wondering WTF they're going to sit around for because it's so damn late and anyone respectable has already gone to bed. OK... we'll do a rebuy for $5, but you have to bust to rebuy. Addon in 1:30 when the blinds are $1.50 (0.10/0.20 start, $5 straight buyin). After that it's freezeout. Yay, away we go.

I'm not even really feeling it too much but I play correctly and manage to blind myself out by the time we're playing .50/1. I rebuy. At this point there's about $60 in the tray (my friends kinda suck) and the one semi-tough player I told you about showing 55 to in my last report has only put in $5. That bastard. Anyhoo, I rebuy and we get to the addon with me and the wife both putting in $15, with the semi-tough player putting in $5 and refusing the addon and the rest of the $85 prize pool (remember, 5 people!) being inserted by the holy fish and the kid that hung out in his car. This particular holy fish hasn't been mentioned earlier in my reports because he's been broke lately. I wonder why. I declare the prizes to be $65 winner and $20 second. Everyone concurs.

The blind schedule I used made the action fairly insane after this, with 10 minute rounds going from 1.50 to 2,3,4,6,8,12... yay crapshoot! I busted my wife while I held TT, with her having AQ. I busted TUFFGUY (I think I'll make that his new nickname for this forum) with KK against his positional push holding Q7s and then it got weird... I'm up against the kid and I can't really get a read on him like I can when he plays cash against me (agressive blinds I think). So we go back and forth for awhile and get to 6/12 blinds with him as a 4:3 lead. I get 94o in my SB and push, he immediately calls. I know I'm screwed... he shows me KJo and we flop 4Jx... CRAP! Turn comes a 4 (with me clapping and cheering TUFFGUY's dealing) and none of us can believe it. I take that hand down and take a 3:2 lead. The VERY NEXT HAND I get dealt KK and he pushes. Duh, I call and show him the cards with my left hand while my right hand is putting my chips in. Done and done baby.

All hail the 94o!

$65 on $15 beating four players... tell me you guys don't want to play rebuys now. Hell, I didn't even really want to play tonight but they talked me into it.

Good luck all, get those games going!

Funny stuff.

I was a little disapointed about the lack of emoticon play by plays, though...
