Man did we have a hell of a $25 game this week.
I try to start at 8pm but most people don't show up until 10 or so... This week we had four players seated by 8:30 and by 9 there were 6 of us... GAME ON!
The action was pretty wild from the start... We started at .25/.25 and went to .25/.50 within an hour, instead of the normal midnight switch over... My raises were getting action and I was limping along with a lot of marginal hands. After the booze kicked in we started getting $4 raises preflop with three and four way action. Action baby, ACTION!
I had a full table nearly all night, with a total of 15 people coming in to play... we even had some observers this time so there was a nice social feel to the evening.
I only had one problem which was between myself and a player... there were two people all in preflop w/AQs and AKo, my problem player had called with his bigass stack and A8o... then he GETS UP TO GO PISS and tells the guy dealing to wait. I come back from my smoke and tell the poor guy to go ahead and turn them over, I want to play another hand. The entire rest of the table agreed so off we went. So the guy comes back to the table and gets right in the dealer's face. I step up and tell him that I'm the one that made the decision to go and he starts whining about "I still had chips to bet!".... uh, dude... no one else did! he sits down with a look on his face like someone just killed his puppy. A hand goes by and he starts berating me again so I tell him if he doesn't like it he can cash out now. We ironed it out but last night I saw him at the bar and he was pretty aggro with me and said, "Well, I won't be back!" To which I replied, "GOOD!". Too bad really, he's a horrible player but I'm not going to put up with that crap. (AQ hit a Q on the flop, btw... ~$45 pot)
My most memorable hand was when I was in the CO with KQs and raise it to $5 into the entire field of limpers... four callers, whoops. Flop comes out with A95 of my suit... BB bets out, three callers and I flat push. I had about $45 at this point. One guy folded out of turn to go smoke, the other two callers were obviously going to fold so I wanted the BB in for my nut flush. He thinks and thinks and finally calls the rest of his stack, about $20. I show him my nut flush and he shows me the JT flush. HOOOOORAHHHH!
Three people cashed more than $100, I was up $20 after paying out $15 for booze and a good time was had by all... except the problem dude.
