Chips: 15,967 | | | Playing Loose Passives in home tournies tonight i've got a tournament at the brother's. it'll only be about 7 players; none are aggressive, and all are loose.
i've had a great deal of success in this game, but i'm looking for some new moves.
hit me up with some advice. if you're in a NL tourny full of these guys, and you're definitely the best player <modest>, what sort of things do you always do, sometimes do, and never do?
best advice wins a peanut.
update tomorrow. |

Chips: 175 | | | In my game, most are loose and will call to any draw. If I am in a pot with them, I will only bet out big hands, and only enter pots with them with premium hands because they won't lay anything down. Make them pay for that. Raise a lot with big hands. Don't be tricky with these people, just play by the books and don't try to push them out.
There are like 2 people that are beginners and will only play with premium hands, and will only bet/call if they hit. So with those players, I bet at them and they will call if they hit, fold if they didn't. That is all they will do.
Just start slow and get a feel for how they play and you will be fine. Adjust to them, not all will play the same way. You will probably have some bad beats...very bad beats. But you will get paid off big with your huge hands.

Chips: 132 | | | Play tight, wait for the hands and let them beat each other up for a bit, maybe even forget about you. Then, when you do hit your hand, make them pay for it. Come out swingin' and take no prsoners. Once you've established the fact that you only come in with the "nuts", toy with them, make a bluff and show it to them. They won't know what hit 'em or how to play with you after that. Good luck. |

I think this sets up bluffs a little better. Building up others confidence makes people more predictable in some respects because often our decisions in poker are completely spur of the moment. |
